PJ Day!

One of our favourite days at school is PJ Day. On this day we wear our PJ's to school, bring our favourite bedtime toy and have toast for breakfast. Most importantly we raise money for Melbourne Citymission to help them care for those people in our community who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Here we are having a fun day for a great cause!

Why is it important to show that we care for those people in our community who are less fortunate than us?

Balloon Rockets!

On Wednesday we followed a procedure to make a balloon rocket. We had our buddies to help us and we had lots of fun.
We learnt that the air from the balloon moved the balloon along the string. We had to be careful to keep the string tight so the balloon could travel along smoothly. Great science!

National Tree Day

Last Friday the whole school was a part of National Tree Day. We planted thirty new trees and added mulch to our garden beds. Every class was allocated a special job. The Preps and Seniors were in charge of planting 15 of the thirty trees. We are very excited to watch them grow. They will help make our school look beautiful!
Thanks Mrs E for helping us plant the trees. Thanks to Ms Scott and Mrs David who did a lot of organising and to the Environment Team for coordinating the day and always reminding us to look after our environment. A BIG thank you to Niamh's dad Scott who dug all of the holes so we could plant our trees.
Here are some photos of the Preps and seniors working hard - taken by Nick from the Environment Team. Thanks Nick!
