Toothpick Shapes!

We explored shapes using toothpicks and playdough. Some of us made three dimensional shapes. We are learning together.

  1. I enjoyed seeing your shapes, some seemed like buildings, and others like animals.

  4. Hi Prep K,
You are doing a great job with your 3D shapes! It is a great idea and I think PrepML will get a chance to see your blog and see if we can do the same this week!

We have been learning about 3D shapes and have been having competitions to see what team can build the most amount of 3D shapes using different things. We have 5 minutes at each station. One is with Duplo blocks, another is with connectors and the last is on the Interactive Whiteboard. We have to be able to to name our shape to get a point! It's been great fun!

Look forward to reading more on your blog,

    PrepML and Mr Limb

  7. Wow this is such a fantastic idea for making 2D and 3D shapes!! It looks like you enjoyed yourselves too.

Class 1 have been busy making patterns but we'll be learning about shapes again soon, so we will try this activity and share our shapes with you too.

    Thank you for sharing,
    Mr. Faulder
