Reuse and create Art!

We are working very hard to look after the environment and reduce the amount of rubbish going into landfill. Over the term the Preps have collected small items that would normally be thrown away - buttons, bottle tops, bits of ribbon, material pieces, coloured paper, beads and so much more!
We are going to create a colourful rainbow with all our reusable items and give a gift to the environment - reducing rubbish in landfill.

Thank you to all our families who sent along bits and pieces for our creation.

Stayed tuned for the finished piece!

Our Rainbow on PhotoPeach

  1. You are setting such a great example for our whole school community preps.
Your actions and raisng awareness is a terrific example for us all to follow. Thank you for being such good care takers of our environment.
    Mrs Gridley :)

  2. Can't wait to see the finished product preps. It sounds like you had fun doing this today. A great way to have fun and learn about our environment at the same time. Enjoy - Suzi

  3. Thank you, Preps for reminding us that using and reusing all sorts of things can make a difference to our environment and create a better world. Artists have created beautiful artworks by recycling. Can't wait to see your creation.

  4. Dear Preps,
It is wonderful to hear that you are learning about caring for the environment by recycling and reusing items. Riley and I were discussing why we do not use our car very often and we walk to school. Riley loves all animals and wants to care for them. It is good if we can all work together to help our planet.
We can not wait to see your creation!

  5. Hi Preps

Thank you for thinking about the environment and the ways you can do your bit to help. Using objects that would normally go to the rubbish dump is a great idea. I look forward to seeing what you make.

  6. I love the rainbow because it is a great way to save rubbish from going to landfill.
